Hon’ble Chief Minister of West Bengal sanctions financial assistance to the poor who are in distress due to reasons such as : • Health problems which require expensive Medicare. • Financial scarcity of meritorious students for pursuing higher education. • Loss of properties and sources of livelihood due to unforeseen incidents, natural calamities, road & fire accidents etc.

There is a specialized Cell in the Chief Minister’s Office named Chief Minister’s Relief Fund Cell which :

• Process all the application and disburse the sanctioned money. • Maintain proper accounts for the receipts and expenditures, which is audited every year.
